New World Guide - Classes, Races, and Factions

What classes or race would you want to play while galloping in the vast world of New World? However, the race system of the New World is slightly different from other MMOs. There are no classes or races to choose from in New World. In contrast, there are many factions in the New World.

New World Classes and Races

Unlike most MMOs, there are no classes or races to choose from in New World. As this is a fantasy-inspired look at exploring new lands in the 1600s, everyone will be playing as a human. In addition, there are no classes to choose when going through New World’s character creation. Instead, you’ll develop your character in ways unique to your playstyle and interests, making your character your own through play.

As you take part in the world you’ll level up your Core Attributes which help determine what your character excels at. You’ll also explore Crafting and Weapon skills, allowing you to specialise your character along lines you choose. This means that nothing is set in stone at the start of the game, as you play you’ll decide which things interest you, and your character will respond accordingly.

New World Factions

As you play and level up through New World you’ll encounter the three different Factions that are fighting for supremacy of the land of Aeternum. Each has a unique vision for this new land, and each will stop at nothing to take control. It’s through the Faction system that you’ll be able to conquer Territories in their name, as well as how the game’s PvP comes to life.

The Marauders

The Marauders value strength above all. They are intent on starting a nation free of controlling restrictive rules, instead letting martial ability and strength determine your worth in their order. Under The Marauders, the weak will be trampled on whilst the strong become leaders of settlements and rule with an iron fist.

The Syndicate

Lurking in the shadows, The Syndicate are thinkers, philosophers, thieves, and worse. They embrace the dark side of humanity, delving into the unknown to return with secrets long thought forgotten. They aim to bring about a new age of enlightenment for all humanity and will stop at nothing to achieve their goals.

The Covenant

Fanatical templars devoted to their faith in the light of the Spark, the Covenant wants to bring their religion to everyone on Aeternum. Obsessed with truth, justice, and righteousness, they plan to purge the world of heretics and unbelievers – whatever the cost.
